A special “Thank You” to the neighbors who participated in the protest against Wieland at the entrance to Vickery on Saturday, May 19th. Our protest permit from Forsyth County did not arrive in time to give residents advance notice of the event, but that didn’t stop a small group from protesting. Horns honked and people took time to read the 14-foot banner directing people to this website. Our PreserveVickery website had 210 page views today, educating more people about Wieland and Wells Fargo’s activities in our community.
If you are a Vickery resident, please plan to spend some time ON SUNDAY, MAY 20TH at the Vickery entrance between 1pm and 4pm. Just show up and stay as long as you can. Signs will be provided. Wear your Preserve Vickery T-shirt if you have one.
Protests will be held over the next two weekends at the Wells Fargo branch office on Castleberry and Bethelview Roads and at the entrance to Vickery. More information is in the post below dated 5/10/12 titled “TAKE ACTION – WELLS FARGO AND WIELAND PROTEST PLANS”. Let’s keep educating others and showing Wells and Wieland that Vickery residents will not give up in protecting their community!
